The sound of cicadas and the scent of pines. Bliss. Ruffell family holidays ‘on the Continent’ meant travelling to the mainland of Europe and down to the Mediterranean coast by car, train or plane. The memories of special places visited include Greek islands, Spanish Costas and mountains, and Italian cities and countryside. Visits to our nearest neighbours, France, Belgium, Sweden, Germany and Holland have also been loved and will be honoured in future pictures, “that is a promise” from Colin.
