Prints by Shyama Ruffell

Shyama's first exhibition was on the Bayswater Road in London when she was seven. She went on to study textiles & worked in the fashion industry. Inspired by her travels in India & Nepal, Shyama became self-employed as a freelance fashion textiles designer & has since worked for a wide range of clients & disciplines.

She has exhibited her works extensively, and is a regular at The Affordable Art Fair in London, and Brighton Festival Artists Open Houses.
She paints using acrylics on canvas and manipulates many of her images digitally to create giclee prints.
The subjects are varied, including beautiful large paintings of floral, fruit, seed & butterfly forms, and more recently, shoes and handbags.
She combines painting from her attic studio at home in Brighton, & raising her two boys, she also lectures on an art foundation course.
